P

Each week Emerson's class has a letter that they work on all week.  On Friday they are supposed to bring something that starts with that letter for Show and Tell.  I have been so proud of Em for figuring out for herself what she is going to take each week.  This week was no different.  When she told me on Monday that the letter of the week was "P", she immediately told me that she wanted to take popcorn for Show and Tell.  On Thursday, we were driving to meet Shawn for dinner and we started talking about other words that start with "P".  We realized that her two favorite colors start with "P": pink and purple.  Then it happened.  I opened my mouth before really thinking it through.  "Hey Em, why don't we get some pink bags for you to put popcorn in for all your friends and we can tie them up with purple ribbon?"  Of course she loved the idea and there was no turning back!  After dinner we headed to Party City to get our bags and ribbon!
