On to Aztec!

After the reunion we loaded in Papa's truck and headed back to Aztec for a week of fun!  There are a lot of pictures because we stayed busy the whole week having lots of fun!  On Monday, me, Shawn, Jeremy, Tanner, and Papa went kayaking down the river.  It was so much fun but I was the genius that decided I only needed sunscreen on my face and the tops of my legs and my arms roasted!  Tuesday Shawn, Larry and Jeremy golfed and on Wednesday we all headed to the lake.  Some of the guys Jeremy works with invited us out and they had a house boat, 2 ski boats and 2 jet skis-it was so much fun.  Jeremy barbecued for us on Thursday and Friday we relaxed a little bit.

It was easy to see as soon as we got on the house boat that she wouldn't think twice about running off into the water so Papa and Daddy helped her get her life jacket on quick!

I was shocked by how much she loved the water because it was ice cold!

Brooks Family Reunion

Last weekend we met the Brooks side of the family in Red River, NM to celebrate Gran and Grandad's 60th wedding anniversary.  It was great to finally get to meet more of Larry's side of the family and for Gran and Grandad to finally meet Emerson.  The last time Tanner and Keaton saw her she couldn't even sit up so it was so much fun watching them get to run and play together.  It was absolutely beautiful there and much cooler than Houston!  We stayed at the Auslander resort which was very nice.  Larry, Bonnie, Tanner, Keaton, and Emerson shared a condo and Jeremy, Kristi, Shawn, me, and Mikala shared another.  We took family pictures Saturday evening and then had a nice dinner to celebrate.

Em was in heaven-every time she turned around somebody was ready and willing to spoil!  Grandma found this sucker at the candy shop in town!

3rd Time's a Charm

Well, after two failed attempts(one whooping cough outbreak and a bout with RSV) we finally all 3 made it to the farm! We had so much fun getting to see everybody-sadly Aunt Janet was in Colorado visiting friends but we'll catch her on the next go around! Of course Emerson got plenty of spoiling from GranSan and had her first experience in a swimming pool thanks to Jaf and Shelly. Shawn and I were very lucky to get a date night in for an early anniversary celebration-I think GranSan and Em could possibly have been trying to get rid of us!
