Em's New Friend

Our friends Matt and Erin welcomed their new little bundle of joy, Laney Grace, into the world last Tuesday.  We went to visit them and take them dinner on Saturday.  We are so happy for them...she is precious!  Em wasn't too sure about HER mommy holding Laney but really liked patting on her when Laney's mommy was holding her!

Congrats Matt and Erin!!! (Notice Em's face with me holding Laney! ha ha)

The Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we were supposed to go to a pumpkin patch in Willis with some of the moms and kids from the play group we joined.  After not getting home until 12:30 the night before from the game, Ashley, Cannon, Em, and I decided we would sleep in and meet up at a different pumpkin patch in The Woodlands on Sunday.  Candace, one of the other coach's wives came too with her sweet baby Morgan.  It was pretty hot out as you will see from Em's pink cheeks but we had a great time.  We ended up just getting a small pumpkin that Em picked out and Ashley's mom bought each of the kids a mini pumpkin and decided that for our big pumpkin to carve we needed Daddy to help us pick just the right one!

Is she cute or what?!

Uh oh...I dropped my pumpkin!

I think this one is perfect!

I heard something about a pie pumpkin...is this one?

Well, maybe this is the perfect one.

Em and Cannon

Oh my goodness...way too many to choose from!

Woohoo!  This is soooo much fun!

With Cannon's help I know we have found the perfect one this time!

Hi Baby Morgan!

Special Visitors

Last Wednesday Grandma and Papa flew down for a visit.  It is bound to be a first...their flight made it in a few minutes early and the weather here in Houston was beautiful!  Emerson was soooo happy to see them and couldn't wait to open the new toys they brought.  She opened them right there in baggage claim!  We got in lots of football and of course plenty of shopping.  Thursday night we went up to watch Shawn coach the freshmen and we cheered the Bears to another win for Homecoming on Friday.  When Shawn got off on Saturday, he and Larry went down to the U of H game and we had a girls' night of shopping!  It was so good having them here!

She went wild in the airport when she saw her Grandma and Papa!

C'mon Grandma, let's go through the tunnel!

 Hurry!  She's gonna get you!

 Papa, help!

 Hunting for acorns

Her scary skeleton glasses from Sonic!

Life is good even on a bad hair day!

Could she have any more stuff in her car seat?!  Enjoying a corn dog before the game

Please Grandma, can I have some of your water?

Cheering on the freshmen on Thursday night

We're in trouble...she has already fallen for the quarterback of the football team!

The best part of the entire game!

Grandma thought Em just had to have pompoms!

Too Cute

These pictures really don't need me to say anything but they are of Em and Daddy settling in to watch The Goodnight Show-melts my heart!

On a Roll!

I am a little behind in posting but the Bears won again last Friday!  They beat Magnolia West 38-7!  We are gearing up for the Homecoming game this Friday-let's go Bears!!!
