And on that farm...

...there was an Emerson! EIEIO! This past weekend as Emerson turned 14 months old she hit a big milestone-her first weekend away without Mommy and Daddy. I wanted to surprise Shawn with a relaxing weekend since he has been working so hard so I drove to Lufkin on Friday to meet GranSan for Emerson to spend the weekend on the farm. While she was there Shawn and I spent the weekend at The Woodlands Resort. On Saturday, we headed out for him to play a round of golf while I relaxed riding in the cart and for dinner went down to The Waterway. The weather was beautiful so it was a much needed break. Sunday morning we went for massages to finish off the weekend before we drove back to Lufkin to pick up our Little Princess. I think you will see from the pictures that her first weekend away was a huge success-she had a blast!

I didn't realize how hard it would be to leave her! Thankfully GranSan knew how hard it would be and drove off fast!

Are we there yet?!

We are going to have sooooo much fun GranSan!

Jenna and Jamie getting Emerson sugar for the first time!

Jordan was so happy to finally get her hands on her!

She thought it was hilarious that Pup Pup would jump up on the table.

How cute! Her own little table and chairs!

We HAVE to get one of these!

I love you Uncle Jerry and Aunt Janet!

Looks like she got anything and everything she wanted!

Hey Jon, what do you have that I can have?!

I don't know who is having more fun, Emerson or Patsy!

Sunday school with Nora Jo-those 2 look like they could be trouble together!

He looks like a pro!

Even after not playing very much, he did awesome! I'm not surprised!

We had so much fun together-thank you GranSan!

Can I come see you guys again soon?!

We had a blast but we were soooo ready to see that smile again!

Tons of Fun=Tons of Pics!

I'm baaaaack! As of last Thursday I was completely cleared by my doctor and can get back to life as usual. That being said, the last 8 weeks have been great. It kicked off with Em's first birthday and she(and Shawn and I) has gotten to be spoiled by grandparents ever since! Grandma came the Sunday after GranSan left on Saturday. The second week she was here Aunt Sissy flew in to spend her spring break with us, and then Papa couldn't stand it and flew in last Wednesday! We have had so much fun and appreciate everybody's help more than they could possibly know. Thank you...we love y'all so much! Here are a bunch of pics to try to show how much fun we have been having!

Who knew that Grandma's Hastings card would become one of her favorite toys for a few days?!

Grandma and Maggie sugar all at once...this is great!

Maggie, come back!

Yea!!!!! Aunt Sissy is here to play!!!!

That is my brace that she is wearing! I put it on her and she just carried on playing like it wasn't even there!

Time to go cheer on Daddy's bears

Watching Grandma and Aunt Sissy putting on their makeup so we could go shopping

Grandma now taught her that Sonic cups are worth more than ice...now she wants the drink!

Like Grandma, like Emerson!

How cute is that?!

This is how we found her after she had tried to get in her booster by herself with the tray on it!

Watching Idol...yes, we are STILL hunting eggs!

She loves her Papa!

Papa, bows are for girls!

At the park watching the big kids coming out of the tunnel slide...where are they all coming from?!

She laughed the whole way down the slide and would run back around to the ladder to go back again...what a workout for a Mommy who hasn't done anything for 2 months!

Happy Easter!

It is hard to believe how much Emerson has grown and changed since last Easter! She had so much fun today. She got her basket from the Easter bunny before we went to church and worked and worked to try to get the candy open...we saved it for after church and after her Easter dress! The Easter bunny was at church for pictures and Emerson was just as excited to see him as she was to see Santa-fearless! After she had her picture made we headed out to the toddler egg hunt. She needed no instruction for egg hunting-as soon as her little feet hit the floor she was scrambling to get eggs to put in the bag that Daddy had. If Daddy wasn't right by her when she found one, she just put it in somebody else's basket! It was too cute!

Thank you Papa for our corsages!
