Merry Christmas 2016

There's nothing much better than Christmas morning with sweet little ones.  This morning Shawn told me I was worse than a little kid because I woke up so early and just couldn't stay in bed!  I just can't bear the thought of not seeing their faces when they see if Santa came and what he brought!  Sure enough, no time after we got in the living room and got the video camera set up, we heard Emerson stirring.  I met her in the hallway and told her to go wake up her sister and the fun began!  We had the best day of playing with all the new toys, eating Daddy's pancakes, and just relaxing.  We are so blessed!!

Our sweet B finally got her American Girl doll!  Her face says it all...PURE JOY!!

Emerson got a whole basket of things to invent things, including the Lil Bits Rule Your Room kit.

Jammies for her doll

I think the Barbie hoverboard Daddy and I got her was a bigger hit than Santa's invention kit!

Daddy unwrapping one of our gifts from Em.

She had made us a bouquet of paper flowers.

It was so sweet hearing Em read Santa's letter for both of them.

B had no idea what this was in her stocking but by the end of the day she was a pro at it!

Playing the Shopkins matching game from B's stocking.

The battery for her Barbie last about 7 minutes then has to charge for 2 hours...every 2 hours she was flying it for 7 minutes!  She loved every second of it!

She wasted no time sewing several different projects with her Sew Cool from Grandma and Papa!

B decorated her jewelry box from Grandma and Papa.

B is amazing at puzzles, she had this one from Gransan done before I could put together 3 pieces!

One of Emerson's creations using Santa's invention kit.

She named her doll Ellie and couldn't wait to put on their matching jammies!

Looks like they are going to be friends for life!

Christmas Eve 2016

It's finally here!!!!  It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas was not exactly a very fitting song this year...it is 80 degrees!!  We started our day with Christmas tree cinnamon rolls, got in a lot of playing outside, made a batch of Santa's Favorite Cookies, and then headed to Christmas Eve candlelight service.  When we got home, it was a quick dinner, before setting out our cookies and milk, reading The Berenstain Bears 'Twas the Night Before Christmas then off to bed.  A perfect day!

They were so sweet eating the cinnamon rolls, even though Mom left them in the oven just a bit too long!!

I came home from the grocery store to find this...really looks like Christmas Eve weather!

We went a little easier this year and skipped out on rolling dough and cookie cutters!

Our favorite part!

Our Christmas Eve cookies are one of my favorite traditions!

The girls found ladybugs on the trampoline and worked trying to get them water and something to eat.

We woke up this morning to discover Fizzle had gotten into the Hershey kisses overnight and snuck bites of his kiss all day long!

Picking the perfect cookies for Santa.  We even made a couple mini cookies for Fizzle.

Can't forget the milk!

Top Golf Fun

We always have so much fun together when we get a little vacation time.  After getting out to run a few errands, we decided to surprise the girls with a trip to Top Golf.  They were beyond excited.  They amaze me at how well they do, particularly Emerson.  She has a beautiful swing.  Braelyn gets so much better every time we go. We had a blast!
