A Perfect End to a Perfect Day

After we got home from the party and got everything unloaded, we decided to mark something else off of Emerson's list...hot dogs!  It was such a nice night that Papa started a little fire and we did hot dogs and S'mores the old fashioned way.  The girls thought it was great cooking their own hot dogs.

Pump It Up!!!

It has been so hard to be patient waiting for Emerson's birthday party!  When she woke up the morning of her birthday, after she announced that she was 5 she said "It's time for Pump It Up!".  When I told her the party wasn't until Saturday, she said:  "But I am still 5 today, right?!".  Before we headed to Pump It Up, we went to Double Dave's Pizza with Grandma, Papa, Gransan and Patsy.  We had such a good turn out for the party and Emerson had the best day!!

When we asked Em what she wanted to eat for her birthday she said "Pizza, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets"...well we checked pizza off the list for lunch!

Braelyn liked Emerson's choice!

Such a big birthday girl!

We're ready to PUMP IT UP!!!

I love how Braelyn is looking at Brock!  Natasha and Emerson were actually trying to watch the safety video!

Emerson wasted no time when they let us in to the party room!  She headed straight for the big slide!

Braelyn got Grandma on the slide!

Kim was so sweet...she braved coming with Kennedy, Jaxon and the sweet 2 1/2 month old twins Carter and Grant!  She is amazing!  I would never be able to leave the house!

Every last party goer heading up the slide!  Pretty sure we missed a key part of the safety video!  Oh well, tons of fun!

Emerson was very specific about how she wanted her cake to look...success!

Happy Birthday to You!!

Time for presents!

Everything she opened, her friends couldn't wait to see.  They kept yelling: "Turn it around Emerson!"

Always Good for a Smile!

Braelyn Faith cracks us up!  Today at the park, out of the blue, just laid down on the sidewalk acting like she was asleep!  The look on her face is too cute when she is pretending to sleep.  She closes her eyes so tight and has a little grin on her face!

Spinning Trucks and a BIG Milestone!

Our foundation was finally poured today!!!  It seems like we have been waiting for this day FOREVER!!!  On Monday, we were told that they would be pouring yesterday and the sentimental one that I am thought that would be so special on Emerson's 5th birthday.  After we were all up early and dressed to meet them out there, we got a message saying that it had been put off because of some changes the inspector had requested.  As always, God takes care of things because when I went out to visit with the builder a little later yesterday we discovered a couple of things that were not the way we wanted them.  Thanks to the delay, we were able to get those things fixed.  We then got a message that they would be there at 7 a.m. today.  We decided there really wasn't much need for us to be there that early if at all.  On our way to school this morning I remembered that when we had talked about it before, the girls wanted to see the "spinning trucks"(concrete trucks)!  I crossed my fingers that they would still be there and took them before we went to school.  We lucked out and the very last truck was there for them to see.  They were both so excited, Braelyn more so than Emerson.  Braelyn did not want to leave!  She just kept saying "Spin, spin!".  I couldn't quite get her to understand that that was the last truck and they had to go!  We met Daddy back out there this evening to get to walk around on it for the first time!
