Steps to Gameday Fun

Step 1:  Pregame meal at Taco Bell

Quesadillas and cheesy fiesta potatoes are the best!

Step 2:  Get to the stadium in time to see Daddy get the guys warmed up

Potential fun hijacker:  Houston Humidity!

Step 3:  Help as many of the coaches' wives cheer during the game as possible

This is Coach Teasdale's wife.  She spent the most time with the head coach's wife Ms. Gailey and she taught her to point to the endzone when she asked her "Where do we want to go?"!  So cute!

Step 4:  Socialize with the girls as much as possible

Oh Maddy, I love your new Elmo shoes...where did you find those?

What cheers do we need to work on before next week's game?

Step 5:  Wait patiently for Daddy

Step 6:  FIND DADDY!!!!!

Step 7:  Congratulate Daddy

Step 8:  Celebrate the Bears victory with Shipley donuts on Saturday morning

Playdate fun

One of the other coach's wives invited me to come with her to one of her moms group activities.  There was a mommy day at Market Street in The Woodlands with a bunch of vendors for baby/kids goodies.  It ended up being so hot that we ate lunch at Potbelly's and then just walked through several of the AIR CONDITIONED stores in Market Street!  On the way over to eat we caught a glimpse of Elmo so had to stop for a photo op!  Thanks Ashley for inviting us!

Open House

Last Tuesday we went to open house at Em's day care.  It is so obvious how much she loves it there.  as soon as we went in, she made a beeline for her teacher Ms. Tina and then hopped on the toys to show us what she does every day.  We got all the artwork she has been working on-it is amazing what all they do with them!

Hey Ms. Tina!  I'm back!  Can I show Mommy and Daddy my art?

Daddy, look how cool this is!

Extended Birthday

I got a long birthday celebration this year.  GranSan and Janet came down last Thursday and Janet headed on to Galveston to meet some friends on Friday.  She came back on Monday to help me and GranSan celebrate our birthday.  We got a lot of shopping in and Monday night ate Mexican food and then had cake and ice cream.  On my birthday, Shawn and Em took me for a picnic on The Waterway in The Woodlands-it couldn't have been a more perfect birthday!

What a fun surprise to have GranSan and Aunt Janet pick her up from school!

We went down to The Waterway for dinner...unfortunately a little too hot to eat outside!

We found these while we were shopping at Old Navy-they didn't stay on very long or I would have gotten them!

She is a shoe fanatic!  I could hardly even try these boots on because she didn't want to take them off!

She always likes wearing Daddy's hat but on this particular day she decided it needed a girly touch!

 All ready for church

 Fun at the park

All set to take her baby shopping!  Thanks GranSan for the baby and Aunt Janet for the puppy and purse!

Showing off her new coat and hat to Aunt Janet

Count the candles and BLOW!!!! (words to the birthday song on Sprout!)

Picnic in the park-there was a concert at The Pavillion that we were able to hear in the park.

 Look how big she looks!

Who wouldn't have a good birthday with these 2 in their life?!

Picture Perfect

I got Em's 18 month pics back and they are precious!!!  I don't know how I will ever decide which ones to order!  We are so lucky to have found our photographer, Jen.  She is amazing at capturing the Little Princess perfectly!

The Potty Training Chronicles

Wow...this is definitely not an easy undertaking.  We started potty training with Emerson on Saturday and it has been way harder than what I expected.  She has gone in the potty quite a bit but there have been plenty of other times too.  Most people that I have talked to say that it sounds like she is doing great but I definitely have my doubts!  Her day care director told me today that based on what I have told her she definitely wouldn't stop and that they will follow through while she is at school too.  Given her amount of experience, that was very reassuring!  The following are pics of what potty training boot camp can do to a girl's looks-I didn't have the heart to post what it's done to me!  If it says anything, at one point today when she was sleeping I sat in my chair with the carton of ice cream-not a bowl!

Check out that hair!

I don't know if she is holding on to that pull-up in hopes that I won't try to put it on her or what!

Those are my socks with her Crocs!

Oh no...Is it time to try the potty AGAIN?!

2-0

Bears are 2-0 after their Friday win over Spring.  We won 35-19!  It started out to be a miserable game.  It was delayed due to lightning and then it poured the whole first quarter.  It was an adventure trying to hold an umbrella, Emerson, and keep her bag and everything else dry.  I didn't think I would make the whole game at that rate but luckily it quit raining in the second quarter.  I managed to keep her awake heading over to the after-game get together and she had a blast.  This year she was old enough to play in the gym with the big kids-she thought it was great!

Good game Coach!

Did somebody say there was a party in here?

I get to play like the big kids!!!

Ms. Leslie, did you see me kick that ball?

Ms. Meagan was so worried that she was going to get run over by the big kids-I think she can hold her own!

Don't even think about taking my ball Trey!

After playing there is nothing better than a cupcake sitting at Daddy's desk!
