Mini Getaway

We struggled for quite some time trying to decide what to do for Spring Break fun.  We wanted to go to San Antonio or maybe Galveston.  Only problems...it was supposed to pour down rain in San Antonio and there were so many people in Galveston that it really wasn't worth it.  So, what is the next best thing?  College Station!  Try not to laugh!  For us it was great!  All the girls care about is a swimming pool and time with us.  We found a hotel with an indoor pool so the rainy forecast wouldn't keep us from our fun, a hotel of any kind is about as good as going to Disney World to the girls, Abuelo's is about a 2 minute drive from the hotel, and we even found a place for the girls to play mini golf for the first time.  Sounds like a perfect getaway to me!

Blacklight Miniature golf was fun but didn't make for the best pictures!

Nothing like a little game of Go Fish before bed!

It was pretty awesome that we had the whole pool to ourselves!

Friday morning Daddy got the girls up and headed to the pool again while I got to sleep in!

Needless to say, they had a blast!

Highlight of Spring Break

The girls have been wanting to go see "Daddy's work" for a very long time and they were bound and determined that Spring Break was finally going to be the time.  We had planned to go while Emerson was recovering from surgery but never made it so from that point on, anytime Spring Break was mentioned they immediately said "Daddy's work, Daddy's work!"  So today we went in for Emerson's post op visit, headed to the mall to get her a haircut and then it was on to have lunch with Daddy and visit his office.  For them, we couldn't get there fast enough.  When I started heading to the mall, they both kept saying that we were going to be late to get to Daddy's work!  After lunch, when we got to his office, they got to meet everybody, sit at Daddy's desk and he even made them hot chocolate!  It was everything that they had hoped for!

No trip to the mall is complete without a trip to the Cookie Co.!

They finally get to see what Daddy's office looks like!  Emerson said it is not what she thought it would look like!

Enjoying their hot chocolate!

Fun Playdate!

Today the girls and I met Beth, Cooper, and Peyton at The Woodlands Children's Museum.  We had the best time.  In fact, on the way to the car the girls said "This was the best day EVER!"  The museum had a lot of special activities for St. Patrick's Day so it was a perfect day to be there, other than it was a little crowded.  The kids had a blast doing some art projects, getting their faces painted, there was a balloon artist clown, and even a traditional Irish dancing group!  It was a very full, fun 2 hours and then it was on to grab some Mexican food!  The girls were so wiped out, it wasn't difficult at all getting them down for a nap after!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  We're NOT getting pinched!

Gluing down pieces on the rainbow project.

Emerson, Braelyn, Cooper, and Peyton working on their leprechaun mask for the photo booth.

Braelyn chose to make hers with a beard, Emerson wanted hers to have hair.

Whatcha building Em?

It was hysterical because Cooper and Braelyn paired up for the day and Emerson and Peyton spent the day together!

Sweet Sisters!

Emerson and Cooper teaming up to build something

This was similar to a sandbox but with cut up rubber instead of sand...I LOVE IT!

The Brooks and The Garys to the rescue!

I was pretty impressed with all of them on the fire pole!

Cooper built Braelyn into this box!

Then he went ahead and joined her inside!

All the kids(and a couple we don't know!) piled into this car.

The kids had wanted a balloon from the clown from the time we got there...the line finally went down before we left!

The girls all got pretty flowers and Coop got a plane

Too funny!

Cutest little leprechauns ever!

Face painting was the other thing that we didn't know if we would ever get to before we left.  The wait was ridiculous but our number was finally called right before we left for lunch!

4 Very Happy Kids!
