B's End of Year Program

Tonight was the end of year program at First Kids Academy.  Braelyn has been SO excited about her big performance.  When I picked her up from school she was jumping up and down saying that she was ready for me to see her in her "yellow hat".  Her class dressed as construction workers because their song was about God being the "master builder" and that He is "building me".  Before that song, all classes sang a couple of songs together.  While we were waiting, we were a little skeptical about her actually singing and doing the motions.  We could not have been more wrong!  She sang her heart out and did not miss a motion(other than to fix her hair a little bit!)!  We were so very proud of her and she was quite proud of herself too!

Emerson and her friend Kate waiting to cheer on Braelyn and Kate's little brother.

I am going to eat her up one of these days!!

Not quite sure why her tongue is out!

Praise the Lord!

Unfortunately, the hats were One Size Fits All...only they didn't!

Cutest construction worker ever!

Elementary School Dropout

Emerson was getting out of the shower one night and...

Em:  Mom, why do people go to college?
Me:  Well baby, that is where we go to learn the things we need to go to get a job.
Em:  Oh, well then I don't need to go to college because I am just going to be a Mom!
Shawn:  That is exactly what your Mom said and look at her.
Me and Shawn:  You are still going to college!
Em:  I am really not even that sure about 1st grade because it couldn't possibly be as fun as kindergarten!

Memorial Day Weekend 2015

We loaded up and headed to Shreveport for Memorial Day weekend.  We did a lot of relaxing and hanging out on the farm.  Gransan hasn't been feeling very good and will be having surgery this next week so it was great to spend some time with her and try to help her feel a little bit better!

SO happy to finally be at Gransan's!  They have been on the countdown for quite some time!

Taking turns playing games on Patsy's computer.

Aloha!!!

No trip to the farm is complete without a tea party with Janet!

Janet and the girls played outside for a very long time!

Jerry and Em

Snuggling with Gransan before we had to leave.

My old Nintendo actually still works so of course the girls had to try it out!

Field Day

Today I volunteered at Emerson's field day.  It was not at all what I expected!  It is NOT a field day like what we had in school...there is really no structure and there are no ribbons!!!  It is basically just a fun play day.  There were games but there were no winners, there was a tattoo station, a dance station, snowcones, and bounce houses.  I was so proud of Emerson.  The whole time she just rolled with the flow, having a great time at whatever station we were at.  She wanted to play everything-who cares if it is wet and muddy?!  She didn't whine or complain when we didn't go in the order she wanted(unlike her friends!).  They all seemed to have fun and I was so thankful I was there to see every minute of it!

Noah, Jayden, Bella, and Em were my group for the fun filled day.

Em flew down the slide so fast I almost missed her!

Time to cool off with a snowcone.

Muffins With Mom

Today First Kids hosted a Muffins With Mom breakfast to celebrate Mother's Day.  Braelyn and I had so much fun!  We got to eat upstairs in the atrium and then when I took her to her class I got to sit while she told me all about the gifts she had made me.  She is such a sweetheart and I love every second that we get to spend together!  Every day is Mother's Day to me with my two sweet little princesses!  A breakfast like this is just icing on the cake!

I LOVE BEING MOM!!!!!

I will post more later about the gifts I got!

Pearly Whites

Today was the first day that I have taken both girls to the dentist at the same time.  They did great!  The only issue is I needed a suitcase by the time we left!  They had a balloon artist there and he made 3 balloons a piece for the girls-a puppy, a kitty, and a Frozen wand.  Then of course they each got a new toothbrush and new toothpaste AND got to visit the treasure box on the way out!  On the way out I had my wallet, phone, keys, 4 of the 6 balloons, 2 toothbrushes, and 2 toothpastes!  The girls both got great reports-no sugar bugs and sparkly princess teeth according to Dr. Andersen.  I wish I had a picture of Braelyn getting her teeth cleaned.  The last time she didn't want to lay down so they cleaned her teeth sitting up.  This time she saw that Sissy was fine laying down so she was fine with it.  She kept her mouth wide open the whole time and her arms were just hanging limp off the sides of the chair.  It looked like she was totally passed out!  I couldn't stop laughing!

We Love Spring!!

On the days that it hasn't been raining recently, the weather has been beautiful and we are soaking it all up!  I love just watching them be kids and run and play without a care in the world.  There is nothing better!

Daddy decided it was time to work a little more on some athletic ability with the girls.

Looking at their outfits of choice for the lesson(B had on a dress with about 5 necklaces and 10 bracelets on), he had his work cut out for him!

He also ordered them a set of golf clubs so they could start practicing to one day go out and play with him.

Braelyn's stance in this picture cracks me up!

Time to bring out the bubbles from their Easter baskets!

Yes, those are her new rainboots...you never know when a Spring shower might pop up!

They decided to do a little digging and raking with their other Easter basket gifts!
