Sweet Sister

Emerson and Braelyn have been watching a show called "Get Out of My Room" where siblings give each others' rooms a makeover.  Emerson saw something on there and just had to do it for Braelyn.  She asked me if we could build a balance beam for Braelyn's room.  I was so excited to see her so excited to do something sweet for her sister, that I was instantly on board!  Of course, as most projects go, it turned out to be a bit more of an undertaking than I anticipated but it turned out super cute and Braelyn was over the moon about it!

So very proud of this sweet girl's giving heart!

She had to try it out to make sure it was perfect!

Time for the big reveal!

The smile says it all!

LOVE IT!

PGA Jr. League

The girls have been participating in the TGA golf program after school for awhile now.  The owner of the program started as a golf pro at April Sound in Conroe and was starting up a PGA Jr. League program and reached out to some of his TGA kids to join in the fun.  The girls both jumped at the chance to actually play golf on a course against other kids.  The program unfortunately did not prove to be that great-we were hoping for a lot more instruction, not to mention they played at 3:00 in the afternoon in the hottest part of Houston summers.  Despite that, both girls did really well!  B was the youngest one on the team but did really, really well!  Emerson has such a pretty natural swing too-so fun to watch!

Braelyn working hard at practice.

We of course had to get cute new golf clothes for practice and they even both got new clubs.

Their uniforms didn't arrive for the first match so they decided to just wear red and blue polo shirts.

Go, B go!

April Sound got them a cookie cake after practice one night to wish them luck on their next match.

So cute I can hardly stand it!

We traded out this match-B went with Daddy and I went with Em.

Good job Em!

Happy Birthday Bailey!

Bailey came in town to spend her birthday with a friend of hers down here.  The girls were over the moon that she came by to spend the afternoon with them!  We had so much fun surprising her with a birthday cookie cake!

I let the girls cut the pieces-hilarious!

Pre-Back to School Playdate

I decided before all the back to school craziness next month to let the girls have a playdate with a couple of their friends.  The girls and I got up and headed for doughnuts for breakfast-YUM!!  Then, we picked up Julia, Braelyn's friend, and headed to the playground at the Methodist church in The Woodlands, where we met up with Emerson's friend Alyssa.  They all had so much fun running and playing!  After that, me, Emerson, Braelyn, and Julia headed to Double Dave's to stuff ourselves with pizza and they had fun playing the arcade games.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of Em and Alyssa at the playground!

Swing Zone!

We have been having so much fun just spending time together as a family.  Today, we decided to keep the fun going at Swing Zone.  We have been here several times before and always have so much fun.  The girls do better than I do for sure, and Daddy shows up everybody!

Sweetest thing watching Em help her sister!

Children's Museum of Houston

We had never taken the girls down to the Children's Museum of Houston so we decided the time we had off for the 4th was a great time!  That place is pretty awesome and you could honestly spend a whole day and not even see everything.  We spent a couple hours before we decided it was time to head out for some food but the girls had a blast!  Daddy and I had so much fun watching them!

Braelyn was on the news while Em was working the prompter and green screen.

She was so shy we couldn't hardly get her to do anything!

Daddy decided to step in as her co-anchor!
They "drove" the police car to the scene of a crime.

Em did a little shopping at HEB.

Then they both worked at HEB.

Our cute little scientist!

They put on a puppet show for me and Daddy.
