Last Day of 2nd and 4th Grade!!

This last day of school felt very different for me because it marked the last day the girls would be at the same school together until Emerson is a JUNIOR!!!!  Not only that, it was Emerson's last day of elementary school!!  People say it all the time about how fast time moves when you have kids but man, oh man, are they right!  Shawn and I could not be more proud of both of these sweet girls and love each and every stage with them.  I hope not a single day goes by that we take it for granted.  I want to soak up every sweet second with them.  They both had amazing years with both maintaining straight A's for the entire year-again!

Emerson Leigh-10 years old

Braelyn Faith-7 years old

I started out at Em's party to see the classroom awards and slideshow.

When I got to Mrs. Perry's room, Em wasn't there and Mrs. Perry shared some BIG news with me...Emerson won the Principal's award and was gone to get her medal!  We are so very proud of this sweet girl!
The kids voted on the classroom awards and Em was voted "Most Likely to be a Teacher".  I thought that fit perfectly because she loves to help her teachers in the classroom!

I made it to Braelyn's party just in time for their awards!

She was awarded the "Crunch" award for being most likely to help Mrs. Nettles out in a crunch!  I love when they are recognized for their sweet hearts even more than the academic awards.  We are so proud of you Miss B!

Mrs. Nettles was so much fun!  So thankful Braelyn got to be in her class this year!

This little sassy pants was able to come with me to the 4th Grade Clap Out to cheer for her sister.

Braelyn and Callie waiting for their siblings to come through

Here comes Emerson leading the way for Mrs. Perry's class!

I was going to get her if she hid her face with the sign and I didn't get a picture!

Thankfully they made a Round 2!

Mrs. Perry talked them through what Momma's wanted and led the way in Round 2!

We love you Em!  You are going to do amazing at Clark!!!!

Thank you Mrs. Perry for an amazing finish to our time at Snyder!

We had an end of year Mother Daughter pool party!

I could eat these 2 up!!!

4th Grade Awards and 3rd Grade Fun Day

The end of the year is always packed with so much fun.  Today Braelyn got to have a glow party in her class and Emerson had the 4th grade awards ceremony.  Before the awards, she was also an escort for the kindergarten graduation.  Thankfully I was able to find some fun glow in the dark gear for Braelyn on short notice and she looked so cute!  I was shocked when Emerson asked me to curl her hair for her ceremony! She looked beautiful...and too grown up!  She was recognized at her awards ceremony for having straight A's all year-not easy to do!!  We are so proud, as always.  We are even more proud of her kind heart than any award she could win for academics, and she has both!

Silly girls!

Go 'Stros!

It is certainly no secret that we love our Astros and jump at the chance to go to a game whenever we can.  We have gotten so spoiled by the opportunities we get through Shawn's job.  This particular time, he was offered seats in the Insperity Club and was able to take me and the girls last night.  This might have become our favorite of all the places we have sat in the ballpark.  The food at this club is typical ball park food, complete with cotton candy, ice cream, and a candy bar-the girls were in heaven!  It is behind home plate but up a little bit higher which makes it a great view.  After the game we were able to move down to one of the lower sections to catch the postgame fireworks show.  We had a blast!

Em had a bag loaded with a few things but the main thing was a glove to catch a fly ball-unfortunately, where we sat, that probably wouldn't happen!  Better to be prepared!

They both looked so cute in their new Orbit socks!

We definitely had a bit of sugar!
