Inseparable

The girls have always wanted to be able to travel by themselves to Grandma and Papa's house and to be able to spend time with Grandma and Papa and Gransan without their sister.  They finally got the chance!  Grandma and Papa moved to Texas and they are only about 2 and a half hours away now!  So, after Braelyn's birthday, she went home with Gransan and Emerson headed to Nolanville with Grandma and Papa.  They were both gone for the whole week and from the looks of the pictures, they had a blast!  Daddy and I divided and conquered to get them back home.  I picked up Braelyn in Lufkin while he got Emerson in College Station.  Daddy and Em got home first and it was the cutest thing ever when Braelyn and I got home.  Emerson came running out to see Braelyn and they started talking 90 to nothing about everything they had been doing since they had been apart.  Daddy and I didn't exist.  Neither of us got a hi or a hug from the girl that hadn't been with us.  The rest of the day, they were glued to each other, snuggled up on the couch watching movies.  We couldn't believe what we were seeing!  I guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder!

Party Time!

Since we went all out redoing her room, we told Miss B that we would do a family birthday celebration but that she could invite one friend over to spend the day with us and that we would go out and do something fun.  She asked Brooklyn to celebrate with her and we had the best day.  When she came over, we played at home for awhile, cooked out, ate cake and ice cream, and then headed to Sk8 Town.  It was a perfect day to celebrate our sweet 8 year old!

Look Who's 8!!

Sweet Braelyn is 8 years old!!  She is so much fun, always keeping us laughing.  She loves playing with her Barbie's upstairs and wants to do it all by herself!  She doesn't want anybody to hear what all she says when she is pretending with them.  She also loves music and has so many songs downloaded on her tablet and loves to sing along.  She is still obsessed with her stuffed animals and LOVES dogs.  She asks almost daily for a puppy. It wouldn't be a birthday at our house without celebrating at Mi Rancho either!

She couldn't wait to open her gift from Grandma and Papa when they got into town.

The Big Reveal

For Braelyn's birthday this year she wanted us to redo her room like we did for Sissy's birthday.  I had so much fun doing it and I think it turned out so cute.  I couldn't wait for her to see it and we wanted her to see it and get all moved in before everyone got to town for her party so she got to see if a few days before her birthday.  I managed to get the final finishing touches done by the time she got done with gymnastics tonight.  Her reaction was priceless!

Things were a disaster for quite a while!  But then...

She said:  "I feel like it's a whole new dimension!"  Where does she get this stuff??

Of course the room HAD to include puppies!

It is hard to see in the picture, but one request she had for her new room was a sleep mask!
