Rolling

Well, I finally captured Braelyn rolling over.  The one time I finally do she spit up everywhere so try to ignore that but I had to post anyway!

First Game

Last night was the firsts Montgomery Bears game of the season and Braelyn first football game!  We weren't going to go because it is still so miserably hot even at 7:30 at night but we just couldn't miss it.  Emerson LOVES going to the games and to the after-game parties so I just had to go.  We waited to go until the second half so that it had cooled down a little bit.  Braelyn did great.  She was more relaxed at the game than she even is at home!  Emerson was awesome too...she just stood right beside Braelyn's carrier and jumped and clapped from the moment we got there.  She has obviously missed it!

 Adorable Coach's Cuties!

See Braelyn, I told you this was going to be so much fun!

Cannon was sick so Ashley was a huge help to me!

How she could sleep with the heat and the band is beyond me!

She just took it all in.

Quite possibly my most favorite picture ever!

This was so cute...she wasn't just randomly excited jumping up and down.  She was actually watching the game.  When Ashley was holding Braelyn, she said:  "Mom, get up. Jump!"

Silly Sisters

Both girls love cuddling with Daddy!  I wish I had gotten a pic when they were both sitting on his chest!

Whoa Sis, a little help please!  I am falling over!

It is so cute seeing Braelyn smile when she hears Em's voice.  She loved sitting in her lap.

I love it!

Much Appreciated Break

GranSan and Janet came in town on Tuesday for a visit and gave me a much appreciated break.  I didn't really realize I needed one until they kicked me out of the house!  On Tuesday afternoon I got to go for a pedicure and then on Wednesday I got a haircut and spent the rest of the day shopping.  It was WONDERFUL!!!!  The girls both got spoiled rotten while Mommy was out and GranSan and Janet got some great sugar!

No visit with GranSan and Janet is complete without presents!

Watching her new Veggie Tales movie

Braelyn had already changed so much since they last saw her!

Plenty of love to spread for two grandbabies!

Braelyn is a very good snuggler!

Relaxing while big sis plays in the sprinkler

So ready for it to get cooler...she LOVES being outside!

Janet had the great idea to bring out the sprinkler before dinner!

Very thirsty after lots of playing!

GranSan loves to do this...I have a very similar pic of Emerson!

Can I please just get in the bath GranSan?!

Before they left on Thursday, we had a girls' lunch at Pie in the Sky.

I have the best aunt ever...so glad she got to come!

Mommy, can I have some pecan pie PLEASE?!

Emerson's favorite...ice cream!

2

As of Sunday our sweet Braelyn is 2 months old!!!  It is unbelievable how much she is changing every day.  She is getting more alert, talking quite a bit, and flashing that precious smile more and more.  She has rolled from her stomach to her back twice, of course not at all when I pull out the video camera!  Thankfully she is a very good sleeper.  She will go anywhere from 8-10 hours between feedings at night.  I usually only have to get up one other time to re-swaddle her and I am usually back in bed within 5 minutes that time...the little Houdini just manages to get her arms out no matter how tight I wrap her so she gets cold!  She had her 2 month check-up yesterday and got a perfect report!  She was 10 pounds 12 ounces(49%), 22 1/4 inches(49%), and head was 38 1/2 centimeters(26%).

Having fun at Kennedy's birthday party

I can't believe how much she has grown!

She has glitter band-aids from her two shots...poor baby!

She actually has chubby cheeks now!

Lunch Date

Shawn's crazy football season schedule is in full swing now and last week between teacher inservices and 2-a-days, he was at risk of not seeing the girls all week.  We decided that that just wasn't going to work so Em, Braelyn, and I went up to meet him for lunch at a new Mexican food restaurant on the lake.  One of my favorite things in the whole world is getting to watch both girls with their Daddy.  After lunch, he took Em down the pier to go look for fish.

Happy Birthday to Kennedy!

We were invited to help Kennedy, one of the other coach's kids, celebrate her 5th birthday at the Conroe Aquatic Center last Saturday.  Emerson now loves "swimming".  I can't wait to get her in swim lessons because as of now she makes me a nervous wreck!  Emerson talked all weekend about swimming with Jaxon and Kennedy!

We had never been to the aquatic center...it is great for kids Em's size.

Shawn took the first shift with the fearless wonder.

Ms. Kim caught Jaxon and Em coming off the slide.

Mommy, come swim with me!  The things we do for our kids...I said that there was no way I would put a swimsuit on this summer!  That was before Em said: "Please, Mom."

Cookie cake...the key ingredient to any great party!

Emerson, Kennedy, and another cute partygoer!

Way Cute!

GranSan and Aunt Janet had these adorable canvas signs made for the girls' bedroom doors.  It is unbelievable how perfectly they match their rooms!  Thank you!

The Sharing Show

We were watching the Sprout Sharing Show today when Emerson decided to show how good she was going to be at sharing with her little sister...

There was actually no discussion about sharing before this.  I was putting up laundry and just happened to see this when I was walking through the living room.

First she covered her up with the blanket.

Up until today, Em would say "That's Emerson's" even for toys that had actually been bought for Braelyn.  Today, not only did Braelyn get those toys but Emerson went to her room and gave her the 3 stuffed animals that she sleeps with every night!

Believe it or not she is actually smiling under there!

This morning before I took Emerson to water day at school, she blew Daddy and Braelyn kisses and said "I love you Braelyn!"...all in all a precious day of the sisters bonding!

Total Exhaustion

Emerson had a doctor's appointment yesterday at about the time she normally takes a nap.  I knew she was tired but she was being so good.  We had to go to Target to pick up some prescriptions after the appointment.  On the way there I was talking to both the grandmothers to tell them about the appointment and thought Emerson was in the back seat watching Monsters, Inc.  When we got to Target I turned around and this is what I saw...

Day Trip

Mikala had a job interview in Dallas today so she and Bonnie drove down to Dallas over the weekend.  As soon as I heard about their trip I told Shawn that there was no way that Grandma could get that close to the girls and not come see them.  Sure enough she called and said that they were coming down on Sunday...yea!!!  We were disappointed that they only got to stay for the day but so glad we got to see them!

 Braelyn and Aunt Sissy

Braelyn was over pictures by this point, needless to say!

 Talking to Grandma

Open up Sissy!
