Happy Halloween!!

Thankfully this year it actually didn't rain for Halloween but it was SO cold!  We did something a little different this year...instead of going trick-or-treating in our neighborhood where you have to drive door to door, we went to a neighborhood close by so we could walk.  The girls looked so cute.  Emerson chose to be a scarecrow and I was so excited how her costume turned out.  Braelyn was back to Descendants and this year chose to be Audrey.  Our trick-or-treating almost ended as fast as it started because the first house we stopped at was so scary.  They wanted you to go inside this haunted house for the candy...that was NOT happening.  After catching a glimpse of some of the scary things right inside the doorway, Braelyn was not feeling too confident about ringing any other doorbells.  We pulled it back together though and made it down a few streets and filled their bags with more candy than ever!

Little Miss Audrey is ready to get some candy!

Cutest scarecrow ever!

Em had to have a picture with a fellow scarecrow!

We bumped into the Collins and trick-or-treated with them down a street.

Run, Braelyn, Run!

Today was Snyder's annual Boosterthon fun run.  The weather was beautiful!  Every other year it has been miserably hot but it was absolutely perfect today.  Braelyn did so good, running pretty much the whole time.  She got a total of 44 laps!

Look at her go!

Maybe a little short walk with Leia to catch their breath!

Professional Carvers

The girls have been dying to carve pumpkins with me and Shawn after having a first round with one of their babysitters.  In past years, they have drawn the faces and Daddy has done the carving.  This year they wanted to be able to carve their own.  Not only that, but Emerson went way more detailed with her design-a minion!  They both turned out so cute!

A little help from Daddy to get things started.

Apparently her tongue helps her drawing skills!

Ew, gross!

We've Been Booed!

When Shawn and I were at the Rockets game with friends last night, the Ring alerted us that someone was at our front door.  We couldn't imagine who who be ringing out doorbell at 8:30 at night.  When we looked we saw a little girl ring and take off running.  When we got home, the sitter showed us what had been dropped off-a basket of Halloween goodies with a note saying 'You've Been Booed!"  The girls were so excited because now this meant that we had to pass on the fun to 2 more neighbors.  We went today to shop for some fun goodies and set out in the neighborhood to "boo" others.  The girls decided they wanted it to be random instead of one of their friends so I just drove and they told me where to go.  It was so funny to watch them walk so slowly up to the door and then run faster than I have probably ever seen them run after ringing the bell!  Em hopped in the car and yelled "Pedal to the metal!!"  So much fun!!

Treats ready, lets get to booing!

You post this on your door so that you don't get booed more than once.

Annual Fall Fun

For years now, we have hosted a fall fun playdate and it has been one of our favorite traditions.  The last couple of years, we have cut down on how many have come over and have been just having the Collins.  This year we made monster brownies and sugar cookies and ate a jack-o-lantern pizza.  We feel so blessed to have such special friends!

Braelyn, Camilla, Sofia, and Emerson ready for decorating fun!

Alexander had to get in on the fun too!

Silly faces!

They all did such a good job!
