At Emerson's ninja clinic yesterday, she decided that she wanted to compete in her first ever competition today. When we got there, it was a little overwhelming because they had changed all of the obstacles and they were extremely difficult. I was so proud of Em though. It was clear she was very nervous but she tackled her fears and pushed through the entire course. Even though she was struggling with the obstacles, she never quit! Before it was her turn to compete though, a huge dream came true-she got to meet Barclay Stockett!! Quite a few of the ninjas that she has watched on American Ninja Warrior were there to compete as well. Barclay was so sweet and gave Em great advice. She told her that if she is ever struggling on an obstacle to never give up on it, but find a different way. The look on Em's face was priceless!
