A New Mexico Christmas

We headed to New Mexico for Christmas this year and had a great time.  We were a little worried given our bouts of sickness in the couple of weeks before-I was still running a fever the day we left, but we were all feeling much better after being there a couple of days.  The weather was rainy pretty much the whole time we were there so we spent a lot of time relaxing around the house.  Em had a blast playing with everybody and LOVED all the presents!  She must have been a very good girl this year...I will post later what Santa brought her this year!

Uncle Jeremy knows the way to a girl's heart...Sonic ice!

Papa seems to be laughing a little too hard at my big belly playing Just Dance on Wii.

Nobody else could beat Aunt Sissy so Em tried to give her a run for her money-looks like Aunt Kristi is trying to get some pointers from her niece!

Believe me if I could post video I would...that is Shawn and Jeremy playing Just Dance!

Grandma taught Em how to make cinnamon toast.  The toast was great but VERY sugary!

Em had so much fun playing in Aunt Sissy's jewelry.

Keaton showing Em the stuffed penguin Tanner got her.

Oh my goodness...what could this one be?!

Grandma and Papa made a hit with her laptop!

She couldn't wait to try on her new slippers-we almost couldn't get them off of her to go to Christmas Eve services!

Papa this one might be yours but I would be more than happy to help you open it!

 Grandma and all her grandkids

After Christmas Eve services she got to try on the new pjs AND the matching slippers-so cute!

Grandma and Sissy had fun fixing her hair.  We couldn't believe that she actually left the headband on!

Ice cream sandwiches at Grandma and Papa's-does it get much better than this?!

I think the kid definitely got her Mom's tastebuds!

 Keaton, Em, and Tanner

 Aunt Sissy and Emerson

Emerson had to wait til we got home to get one of her presents from Grandma and Papa-her new kitchen.

She loves it!  She is so cute getting me and Daddy "water" and fixing us something to eat.

Bah Humbug!

We finally went to see Santa today.  I was a little unsure of how she would react but she seemed to be excited about going.  We prepared ahead of time by looking at her picture of last year(in which she had a huge smile!) and talked about sitting in his lap all day.  While we were waiting in the line she kept saying "Santa!" and would smile at him.  It came to our turn and she started walking toward him but when she got about 3 feet from him she started going the other direction but was still smiling.  When I picked her up and put her in his lap all that changed!

Get me outta here!!!

Happy Birthday Maddie!

Emerson had her first birthday party on Saturday.  We got back from GranSan's just in time to head to Maddie's 2nd birthday.  It was at a gymnastics place in Conroe and the kids got to jump on the trampolines, crawl through tunnels, and there was an inflatable bouncy thing too.  Em had a blast!  Happy birthday Maddie!

Across the Map

Well, for the first time since being a family of 3 every one of us was in a separate state last week!  I was in Atlanta at computer training, Emerson went to Shreveport to stay with GranSan and Daddy held down the fort in Magnolia.  It has been a rough couple of weeks around here.  The week before last Emerson was so sick, just about the sickest we have ever seen her.  I think it started out as a virus and then turned into the worst sinus infection ever.  Luckily she felt better just in time for me to meet my mom in Lufkin on Monday for her to go spend the week.  Tuesday was when I was flying out and wouldn't you know I woke up with a case of pink eye thanks to our previous rough week!  By Wednesday when I talked to Shawn he was running a fever, had pink eye and seemed to have the same virus Em had had!  Thankfully Emerson had a blast in Shreveport with everybody.  She had her first ever trip to Chuck E. Cheese which was so much fun until Chuck E. Cheese came toward her!  I met them back in Lufkin on Saturday to bring our little princess home!  I think we are all going to be well just in time to head across the map again to see Grandma and Papa in Aztec on Monday.

4 days without seeing that sweet smile...what am I going to do?!

Playing with JJ and Missy at Aunt Janet and Uncle Jerry's house

I love you Uncle Jerry and Aunt Janet!

Can I just say rotten?!  Eating in front of the TV with Elmo

 Fixing GranSan's hair

 Such a girly girl!

Helping Patsy doctor one of the Cabbage Patch dolls

With Shell at Jamie's school Christmas party

Fun at Chuck E. Cheese with Jenna, Jamie, and Jordan

Definitely my daughter...that was my favorite game at Chuck E. Cheese too!

She was not too sure about the rides at all!

Um...can we go back and play Whack a Mole instead?!

 Chuck E. Cheese's nose, GranSan's nose!

 At the Calvary Christmas program

Ms. Pauline was like an extra grandmother to me, so glad she got to come over and play with Em!

Quarter Finals Here We Come!

Saturday the Bears took on Pearland Dawson and pulled out another win!  Apparently giving up the Thanksgiving break was definitley not for nothing!  It was a very close game at the end but we won 24-20!  We play next Saturday in the quarter finals at Rice.  State at Cowboy stadium keeps getting closer and closer!  GO BEARS!!!!!

I don't even have to tell her anymore-as soon as the band starts the school song, her #1 goes up!

Let's see...who was that that made that last play?

Celebrating the win on the field

 Congrats Daddy!

We are so proud of Daddy!
