The One and Only George Strait

As I mentioned before, we are totally spoiled.  Shawn and I now got to see George Strait at the rodeo.  While the concert wasn't quite what we had hoped for(he sang a lot of new songs instead of all the oldies but goodies), to just be able to say we saw him in person at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is pretty awesome!

Go Wildcats!

The ACU Wildcat basketball teams have had a great year and we were lucky enough to be able to see them in the Southland Conference Championship game in Katy.  The girls loved every second of it!  It was pretty awesome to see them win and will be cheering for them in the Big Dance!

It's Rodeo Time!

Shawn and I have gotten so spoiled by his job because we get to go to great concerts at the rodeo every year.  One of his vendors always gets us tickets to great shows and sometimes we get his company's tickets to take customers.  Last night the vendor treated us to Chris Stapleton and we had a blast!

Spring Break Painting Fun

I always hate when I have to go to work when the girls are out on break so I like to find fun surprises for them.  Our favorite little pottery place had some special Spring Break classes so I had their sitter Miss Emily meet me there so they could paint cute little ice cream bowls.

We started the morning at the Kolache Factory-yum!

The girls found the fun stickers in my photo app recently!

So serious!

The owner has been with us every Christmas since I was pregnant with Braelyn.

I love these sweet sisters and I was so glad I got to watch for a little while before work!

Lost Pines

We surprised the girls with a super fun getaway to kick off Spring Break.  We headed to Bastrop to the Lost Pines Resort.  It is the best place ever for a family vacation with so many fun activities.  We got to go on a hayride, feed baby goats, play horseshoes, tetherball, and shuffleboard, and so much more.  The girls will tell you it ranked right up there with going to Disney which shocked us but just goes to show good ol' fashioned fun spending time together is the BEST!

We had several shuffleboard showdowns during our time at the resort.  I wonder why the girls fought to be on Daddy's team?!?

We got to do the hayride all by ourselves which was great!

The restaurant where we had dinner had these cool giant Jenga and Connect 4 games outside.

When we were on the hayride, they told the girls if they were there by 8:00 the next morning, they could help feed the baby goats...so needless to say we set an alarm on vacation!!!

I didn't think they would ever leave!

They had a game room with a few arcade games and air hockey.

Time for horseback riding!

A waterpark too?!?!

One of the crafts was hat decorating.

Not sure this is my best look!

We went into town to a cool pizza place on the river.

They had a balloon artist in the lobby.

A perfect way to end the day-s'mores at the big firepit!
