Rainy Day Craft

Yesterday I had set up the slip and slide for the girls to play while I worked on my new coffee table.  Before I left for work this morning, I promised them we would do the same thing again today.  The only problem-a storm moved in!  So, on the way home I picked up some supplies for them to do a fun rainy day craft instead.  They loved it!  It is kind of like tie dye but with Sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol.  They turned out so cute!

Family Fun Night

After a day of a lot of laziness after all our birthday celebrating, we decided to finish off the fun week with some family fun for just the 4 of us.  While Grandma was here she bought us the game Pie Face.  We never got around to playing it while everyone was here so we pulled it out tonight.  We laughed so hard!  Braelyn was hilarious because she was so scared of getting hit in the face with the whipped cream.  She would take forever to actually put her face in there and then she would freak out saying "I can't do it, I can't do it!!!!"  You never know when you are going to get hit, you turn the crank the number of times you spin and if you don't get hit with the whipped cream, the number is your score.  If you get hit, you don't get any points.  SO much fun!  Thanks Grandma!

Rest assured Braelyn Faith had no intention of letting this happen again...she didn't put her face in a single time after this!

Right in the eye!  Then tried to lick off the whipped cream!

3 Down, ??? to Go!

Emerson lost tooth #3 today!  It was long overdue that this came out...it was already discolored!!  Grandma and Papa were so hoping it would come out while they were here but she waited til they had been gone a few hours to finally yank this thing out!  It is hilarious listening to her talk now.  S's are a definite challenge!

Pump It Up!!

Braelyn has been planning her birthday party for about a year now!  For the longest time, she was dead set on an Ariel party at Chuck E. Cheese.  We finally settled on Ariel at Pump It Up.  As I was ordering invitations, she all of a sudden said, "Mommy, I think I want Elsa."  Really kid??  Thankfully I hadn't ordered anything yet so Elsa it was.  When I asked her if she wanted a cake or cupcakes, she said "Both!"  Well, it is her day, right?!  Both it was!  I was so relieved so many of her friends were able to come this year.  They all had the best time running and playing.  Somehow I ended up jumping and sliding with the kids.  Shawn even made a trip down the slide racing with Aunt Sissy-hilarious!

Audrey, wake up!  It is time to party!

Time with Family

We were so blessed this year to have so many people to celebrate with Braelyn for her birthday.  Grandma and Papa got into town on Wednesday, Aunt Sissy, Uncle Russ and Audrey came in on Thursday, Gran arrived Friday, and Gransan and Janet came in Saturday!  We had so much fun with everybody leading up to her party day and then on Saturday it was great getting to have lunch with everybody and open gifts at the house before heading to Pump it Up for her friend party.

The girls were over the moon to have Audrey at our house.  B told Gransan that Audrey was going to go down the slide with her at Pump it Up..probably NOT!!!

Aunt Stacey was super excited that everybody left us on Friday so I could get time to spoil Audrey all to myself!!  We played dress up!

Gransan had to steal Audrey for some sugar when she got here!

Gran and Russ:  This was Gran's first trip to our house.  It was great that the girls had a chance to get to know their great grandmother.

The birthday girl was super excited about her Elsa balloon!

She loved her new Elsa flip flops from Grandma and Papa!

She has always insisted on actually reading every card before opening the gift.

My own piggy bank!  Thank you Jerry and Janet!
