Lil' Punkin'

I got the bright idea today that since I never made it to a pumpkin patch with Emerson, I would just buy a few pumpkins to bring home and get her picture with them. Well, she discovered the pumpkins before I got her changed into her cute little Halloween outfit. By the time she got changed into her outfit she was completely over the pumpkins. By then, all she cared about was the cardboard insert from her new Halloween tights and wanted nothing to do with the pumpkins! Oh well!

What are these? Note how subtle Mom was with the pumpkins-they were beside her toy basket!

I don't know what they are...I better hold on to them so they don't get away!

I wonder what they taste like.

Get back here!

Mom, is the headband really necessary? I am pretty sure these tights and shoes are already asking a little much!

What is the point of these things? I already tried eating them...no luck there!

Enough with the pictures Mom!

Can I go play now?!

I do not want this in my lap...MOVE!!!

Daddy's Fun Surprise

For Uncle Jeremy's birthday, Aunt Kristi bought him a plane ticket to come down for a visit. We all somehow managed to keep it a secret from Shawn and Jeremy was able to surprise him after his freshman game on Thursday night. I would give anything to have a picture of his reaction but surprise surprise Em was sick so we had to drop Jeremy off at the game. Shawn was shocked-it was a great surprise for a very tired coach! Luckily he was able to get off work at about 1 on Saturday so that they were able to spend some time together. Thank you Aunt Kristi! Wish you had been here too!

Welcome to Houston Uncle Jeremy!

Em had so much fun playing while he was here!

It is a shame that Emerson doesn't get much attention!

Uncle Jeremy, did you see my dog? Her name is Maggie.

From the pictures, it looks like the surprise was more for Em than for Daddy! It was a great weekend for all of us!

8 Months

Our little angel turned 8 months yesterday and it is pretty overwhelming how much we love her. She is so much fun now. Her little personality is adorable-happy and in motion ALL the time. I am blown away by how fast she can learn new things and love watching her as she works at it. She is on the verge of walking which is too cute. She can walk behind her push toy as long as she has a little help to steer it. As suspected I think we are going to quickly skip over walking and get to running as quickly as possible. I love that she rarely meets a stranger, flashing that precious smile at anyone that looks her way. Her beautiful blue eyes and that smile can just make me melt. On the one hand it is sad that she is growing so quickly but on the other each stage has been so much fun that I can't wait to see what the next holds. She absolutely loves being outside which is where we spent all day yesterday in the amazing fall weather...Mommy got a little camera happy again so enjoy!

The loves of my life!

Jesus Loves Me This I Know

Miss Social Butterfly loves Sunday school! Not only do they call her their little daredevil but when I picked her up today they said that as usual she was the only one that didn't cry at some point during the class! She was completely indifferent when I went in to pick her up today-I think she would have been perfectly content if I had just let her keep hanging out with her new little friends!

Hey, is it time to sing yet?

Is anybody going to sit by me?!

Don't cry Autumn...we're about to sing! It will be fun, I promise!

Fellowshippin' can really take it out of a girl!

Somebody's Rotten!

Emerson had a big week this week when Grandma and Papa came for a visit! I had to be at a meeting Monday-Wednesday so she had their undivided attention! They did lots of shopping and even more playing. She now can give butterfly kisses, shakes her head no, waves bye, says "aaahh" when she is ready for a bite to eat and "mmmm" once she has gotten it, and loves for you to chase her. They got into town last Saturday and were able to stay until this Saturday so they were able to catch Shawn's freshman game on Thursday and the varsity game against Huntsville on Friday. Unfortunately we didn't come out with a win but it was a good game. We soooo wish Grandma and Papa lived closer so we could have this much fun more often!

I love you Grandma and Papa!!

Yay! You're finally here!!!

Aaahh!

Practicing bye-bye.

Hey guys-my Papa came to spoil me!

Papa couldn't even lift weights without his little shadow.

Grandma helped me cheer for Daddy and the Bears!

Trying to stay warm eating her puffs.

Fun with Papa

Catching some Zs in the 3rd quarter after a very busy, very fun week!

Cutie Patootie!

I got a little carried away with the camera over the last couple of days! I couldn't help myself! She is too cute for words...only pictures can somewhat capture it!
