Old MacDonald Had A...

SWAMP!!!!  Today was Snyder's kindergarten field trip to Old MacDonald's Farm in Humble.  The kids have looked forward to this for weeks.  Unfortunately, it has not stopped raining in Houston since probably Em's birthday AND when we woke up this morning, it was pouring outside.  Emerson hopped out of bed singing Old MacDonald had a farm and I was so worried she was going to end up getting disappointed because the trip was bound to be cancelled.  I kept telling her that if we didn't make it today we would go when the weather was better.  She reassured me that we were definitely going today because "Ms. Krakow never breaks a promise!".  Sure enough when we got to school, Ms. Ardoin, the principal, was in the office and told us that the trip was on!  She said that she was probably going to hear about it from plenty of parents if it was a miserable time but that she just couldn't cancel with how excited the kids were and how many parents had taken a day off of work.  A little rain didn't really bother me.  The biggest problem was that the entire farm was one huge swampy mud puddle!!  After a couple of hours the kids were so wet, muddy, and cold that we decided to call it a day, but not before they all had a blast riding ponies, feeding animals, riding the train, playing in the hay, and on the playground.  I am so thankful that I have the chance to share all these times with my girl!

The kids kept trying to feed the deer from their hands, but the deer had a different plan-they went straight for the bag of food in their other hand!

This was not what Em had in mind when she wanted to see a pig today!

I love this one!

My 3 girls ready for the train ride!  So thankful I had 3 girls...a couple of chaperones had 4 boys!

Watching for all the animals while riding the train.

Em got so frustrated because these goats would never take any food from her.  They were probably miserably full-every kid out there had a bag of feed!

She was so cute trying to get close to these goats!

She did so great riding the horse!  She wasn't scared a bit and there is no telling how many times they went through the line to ride again!

I almost NEVER got all the hay out of her hair when we got home!!!
