Tonight I was going to a Women's Christmas party at our preacher's house. The girls were not happy when they realized I was going to "Karis' house" without them. On my way to meet up with Shawn after gymnastics for him to take the girls for me, here is the conversation that took place...
Emerson: "I wish I was a grown up so that I could go to the party tonight."
Mom: "Oh baby, no. You don't want to be a grown up."
Emerson: "Well, I at least wish I was in college."
Mom: "No, sweetheart. Not even college. Being a kid is so much more fun. I wish I was a kid still."
Emerson: "You are a kid Mom!"
Mom: "What?! I am not a kid!"
Emerson: "Yes you are. You are God's kid!"
