The girls are heading to Shreveport for New Year's so we wanted to do something fun together as a family before they left. Shawn had the great idea of taking them to Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park. They had a blast! Then it was on to pizza at our new favorite place-Crust!

Days 15-25
I knew I wanted something for our Christmas Countdown that helped get our focus on the real meaning of Christmas in the days leading up to the big day but was not really sure what I wanted. I headed to Lifeway to look for a solution and found exactly what I was looking for(even though I had no idea what that was!). They had a little box set called A Donkey in the Living Room. It was a book and 10 figurines. Each figurine was part of the nativity and each had a coordinating page in the book that gave that particular character's point of view of what happened on that amazing night. The girls absolutely loved opening each figurine and listening to the stories. One of my favorite memories of Christmas morning is them stopping in the middle of presents to ask to open their bag for the day and when they saw what was inside they both jumped up and down squealing: "It's baby Jesus, it's baby Jesus!!!"

Merry Christmas!
What a fun day! The girls are so precious and had so much fun today! Santa of course brought what they asked for since they are always such good little girls! I love though that even in the excitement, their sweet little hearts were in the right place. Emerson woke up first and when I met her in the hallway, she said "Mom, before Braelyn and I open our gifts, I want to give you and Daddy your present to open." Then, in the midst of opening their gifts they stopped and wanted to open their last bag on our countdown tree. When they saw it was Baby Jesus, they both started squealing and jumping up and down cheering that it was FINALLY Baby Jesus! When we got all the presents open, they of course wanted Daddy to make breakfast. Thankfully it was a beautiful, very warm day so we were able to get outside and play-a perfect day!

They were finally able to get them outside to play the next day! |
