After seeing the loot Sissy brought home from her last trip to the dentist, Braelyn has been anxiously awaiting her first trip to the dentist! I was a little concerned that the excitement was going to turn into something much different when we got there but boy was I wrong! This little one is always full of surprises! She couldn't wait to put on sunglasses-she was hoping for pink but was very excited when she saw the tiger ones! The hygienist was awesome! She let her sit up for the whole thing and before she started, she showed her everything she was going to use and let her touch all of them. She was a little unsure about the water sprayer until the hygienist sprayed Ms. Carol, the other hygienist and then gave Mom a drink from it. She didn't like Dr. Andersen quite as much but when he told her she had "sparkling princess teeth" she thought he might not be so bad after all! She got a great report but he jumped on the bandwagon of wanting her tonsils to come out. He said that is what causes her horrible breath and can eventually lead to a change in the shape of her palate that would then have to be fixed by the orthodontist. Wow these crazy tonsils affect a lot of things! After his report, it was off to the treasure chest! She had her heart set on a dolphin like the one Sissy had gotten and SCORE!!! they had one! While I was setting her next appointment, little did I know, she was choosing as many treasures as her little arms could carry! ONE treasure you little thief!
