Staycation

Shawn and I were due a little recharging so Gransan and Patsy came down to watch the girls for a few days for us to get away.  It was AWESOME!!  We left Thursday when Shawn got home from work without even having a hotel reservation.  We went to Wolfies first because we couldn't miss the first pick of the draft!  We ate crawfish and saw the Texans first pick and decided we better figure out a place to stay.  We got on Priceline, typed in our bid and it was off to the Hilton Americas in downtown.  The hotel was very nice and within walking distance of plenty to do.  On Friday morning we got up and ate breakfast in Rice Village and went to the granite yard to pick out the granite for the new house.  That night we went to eat at The Grove and then it was on to Pete's Piano Bar.  It was so much fun!  They go off of all requests and everybody sings along.  Saturday we were completely lazy complete with breakfast in bed and a trip to the hot tub.  We got out late in the afternoon and discovered our new favorite restaurant...Irma's!  We came home fairly early on Sunday so Gransan and Patsy could get on the road and I could spend Mother's Day with my sweet girls.  Thank you so much Gransan and Patsy!!!
