Christmas Season Kickoff

When we got home from our Thanksgiving in Shreveport we jumped straight into Christmas.  We decorated the house and attended the Hanging of the Green service at The Woodlands First.  I love seeing the girls' excitement over all things Christmas, from decorating their trees in their rooms, to helping me, to our Christmas countdown tradition.  As I have said before, I have always loved Christmas, but Christmas with them is even better!

After the Hanging of the Green service the kids were surprised to get to play in snow outside...the only chance you have in Houston is man made snow!

I put up my whole Christmas village this year and it definitely gets you in the holiday spirit!

The girls love just sitting and looking at the village.  The ice skaters are their favorite!

Turkey Day on the Farm

We headed to Shreveport for Thanksgiving this year and had such a good time.  The weather was beautiful so the girls had a blast just playing outside on the farm.  It was so relaxing and great to see everyone.  It was the first time in as long as I can remember that everybody was in town.

The girls had hot fudge sundaes while Shawn, Gransan, and I had Strawn's pie!

Me, Emerson, Braelyn and Daddy had a backyard soccer game.

Daddy and the girls feeding Jack and the other donkeys carrots.

Nothing much better than snuggling with Daddy...

other than both girls snuggling with Daddy!

Jerry took the girls on their first hayride along with Jenna, Jamie, and Jordan.

Thank you Jerry!  We had so much fun!

Braelyn just a swingin'

The girls love Nate so much and were so excited to give him the cards they had made him.

Thank you for the scarecrow Janet!

Lady even got in on the fun!

They love just walking all over the farm with Gransan and Lady.

Braelyn said "It was so sweet of Janet to come and tell us bye!"

An Evolving Tradition

This year we modified our Tradition of the Plate slightly.  As the girls get bigger and bigger, I was having to get bigger and bigger plates!  We decided this year to pass on the plate and each of them made 3 ornaments a piece and got to choose who they wanted to give them to.  I always love this tradition so much!  I love just watching them!
