All American Girls

We had a very relaxing 4th of July with our All American Girls!  It wouldn't be a holiday at our house without some festive treats and time spent playing in the backyard.  We rounded out the night with fireworks on the patio.  We didn't think we were going to be able to do them thanks to the burn ban but after hearing plenty of them in the neighborhood we decided to join the fun!  We had a blast...Braelyn was definitely not scared of them this year!  I kind of wish she had been a little more scared!

Emerson provided the decorations for the day!

We definitley couldn't share these cookies with just anybody...she licked the knife after icing each cookie!

Braelyn didn't even hesitate...she wanted a "popper" as soon as Shawn handed one to Emerson!

Hmmm...barefoot with fireworks...not the best choice!  We realized the error of our ways when she went to stomp a "popper" that didn't go off when she threw it!  Thankfully Daddy caught her in time and we headed in to grab our Crocs!
