Fun Getaway

Daddy had had to go south of San Antonio for the grand opening of his newest service center and ended the trip with a dove hunting trip with the guys.  Since he was already over that direction, we thought it would be fun to meet up with him in San Antonio when his trip was over.  The girls and I hit the road as soon as the Storybook Parade was over.  We pulled through Timewise to load up on lots of road trip junk food and we were on our way.  When we got to San Antonio, the girls hit the pool at the hotel and then the 3 of us found some good Mexican food while we waited on Daddy to arrive.  The next morning we moved over to a different hotel right on the Riverwalk.  We were able to take the girls to the very spot we got engaged, go on a riverboat tour, see the Alamo, checked out Ripley's Believe it or Not and the Wax Museum.  It was a great weekend!

How is it that even if you have a pool in your back yard, a hotel pool is AWESOME??!!

We, of course, had to still cheer on our Astros, even if we weren't at home!

This was such a cool area that we found by the Mexican restaurant we went to.

First trip to the Riverwalk!

Emerson has been dying to see The Alamo!

Mission accomplished!

It was so funny to me that Emerson was totally freaked out by the stuff at Ripley's Believe It or Not.  Definitely her least favorite part of the trip!

This room was so funny-Em loved being "taller" than me...

and B was so pumped to finally be bigger than Em!

While having fun here with the Minions-Braelyn was freaked out at the wax museum.  She was convinced they were all going to reach out and grab her!

On the riverboat tour-unfortunately it was so hot and the girls were less than impressed by all the historical facts!

They finally got to see our special bench where we got engaged.

So cute how they huddled up to play some games for a little down time in the hotel.

Of course since we were now at a different hotel, we had to try their pool too!

At breakfast on our last morning, B loved her Texas waffle!
