Fun Summer Kick Off

We decided the end of kindergarten, combined with a pretty stressful week, deserved a pretty awesome getaway.  I checked Em out of school on Thursday a little early, headed to pick up Braelyn, and then we picked up Shawn from work early and it was off to Galveston.  Normally I wouldn't really equate Galveston to an awesome getaway until now.  The San Luis Resort is pretty amazing-you do not feel like you are in Galveston.  Apparently the hotel knew we needed this and when we checked in they upgraded us to the VIP floor!  The girls had an absolute blast at the pool.  They had a slide that Emerson went on what seemed like 100 times in a row.  As soon as she would come down, she was right back up the stairs to go again...for hours!  Braelyn tried it once and was NOT a fan.  It was a VERY fast slide that I wasn't too sure about myself!  We spent 2 nights and will definitely go  back!

There were 2 kids at the bottom trying to give everybody "high 5".  After she got used to the slide, she was determined to get a "high 5" every time down!

The stairs to the slide went up on the back side of this waterfall.  Daddy, Braelyn, and I could watch Sissy come down from this little pool.
