Soccer Camp

Emerson has been missing soccer so much since we took a season off, so when I saw the ad about the Oak Ridge High School girls putting on a one week summer camp, it was a no brainer!  I signed Braelyn up too to see if she might like to start playing...she had fun but by day 3 she said, "Does this have to be every day??!!"  Clearly, a full season might be a bit of a stretch!  On the other hand, today Em asked the coach if she could come back next week!

The facial expressions say it all!  B actually was excited starting out other than she had to wake up earlier than she wanted!

Notice where B's socks are!  She was too hot with them over her shin guards!

Em hustling in her game!

B was a hoot at goalie.  She actually stopped a ball and then turned and kicked it into her own goal!

She may not be destined for a soccer career, but she sure was cute!

She was awarded the "Hardest Worker" by her coaches!

Em was her team's MVP!

Daddy and I were so very proud of the awards they received.  We always work to instill in them how important it is to work hard and give it your best no matter what you are doing.  You don't have to be the best one talent wise but you better give it all you've got!
