We have been waiting and waiting for Emerson to have her first loose tooth. Well, it finally happened. Last Thursday night, Shawn put the girls to bed at their ususal time around 8:30. He and I were laying in bed watching TV and at about 9:45 Emerson comes running into the room. When we asked her what was wrong, she showed us that she could wiggle one of her bottom teeth! I was actually sick so I told her to run around to Daddy to let him feel so I didn't spread any germs to her. Sure enough it was very loose! She was so excited she couldn't hardly stand it! She was giggling and jumping up and down. She must have been in there for an hour just playing with it and just couldn't wait any longer to come tell us. So cute! That tooth hung on for a week! When I picked her up from school today she couldn't wait to show me that not only was the tooth out but that she got a treasure chest from Nurse Emily! It apparently came out at recess while they were playing Simon says. After gymnastics we got everything ready for the Tooth Fairy! She was so funny though because she wanted to write her a letter. In the letter, she was going to ask that the Tooth Fairy not leave money but asked that she would leave either candy or a toy. I pointed out that the Tooth Fairy is NOT Santa and does not really do the whole wish list thing. It took me forever to figure out that apparently at gymnastics some of the other girls told her that when you get to be 6 and 7, the Tooth Fairy leaves toys...NOT at Blue Cedar Ct.!

She drew the Tooth Fairy a picture of the inside of the house so she could find her way around! |
