Big News
We headed up to Dallas to spend the weekend with Russ and Mikala. The girls were super excited about getting to hang out with them and to swim in their pool. We got a huge surprise Saturday morning when they told us we were going to be having a new niece or nephew!!!! The girls can't wait to see their new baby cousin! They can't quite process that we have a pretty long wait! We are so happy for you guys and love you lots!

Storybook Parade
This year for the Storybook Parade at Snyder, Emerson had to pick her own character/book and come up with a costume rather than there being a class book/costume. As soon as I heard, I immediately started trying to narrow down books in her room to those that I felt had a character that would not be too difficult to make a costume for! I thought it was great...Em would still make the ultimate choice, yet I didn't have to panic about the costume!! I narrowed it to 3-Pinkalicious, Fancy Nancy, and Geraldine, The Very Fairy Princess. I presented the options to Em who then replied, "I'll think about it Mom." I'll think about it??? Like, "those 3 choices are no good" or "I am going to come up with something all by myself" or "I'll let you know which of the 3 after I think about it"???? Thankfully, she landed on Geraldine and looked adorable!!!!
Cutest Very Fairy Princess ever!!! |

So Very Proud
Emerson had her very first tests on Friday. She had a spelling test and a sight word test. Spelling tests are done different now. We had 6 sight words that we worked on during the week that she had to spell but then they work on 2 phonics rules and some of the spelling test is based on these phonics rules. The rules this week were -at and -an. We could not be more proud of how Em did...see for yourself!

Blastoff!
The girls have been begging to make a rocket ship. Don't judge what it looks like but we finally got it made! They had so much fun playing in it while I made dinner tonight!
