Little Miss Trustworthy

For the second time, Emerson was awarded the Superstar Stallion award for Trustworthiness-in kinder and now in second grade.  Shawn and I could not be more proud of what a special girl Em is.  She was a little disappointed to learn that this go around they did not award an extra recess to the winners!!  Lol!

Storybook Parade 2016

The Storybook Parade at Snyder is an event that everyone always looks forward to.  This year I only had to worry about one costume because in kindergarten they choose a class book and costume.  Braelyn was Pete the Cat "rockin' in her school shoes" and Emerson decided to be Emerson the Elephant from Emerson and the Big Soccer Tryouts. 

B got so frustrated with me when she told me about her book because I kept thinking she was saying "walkin' in my school shoes" instead of "rockin' in my school shoes"!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

The girls had big plans for my 37th birthday!  They planned out dinner and shopped really hard with Daddy for my gift.  The three of them put together a gift basket for me...Shawn got me golf balls and tees since I have started lessons, Em picked out lip gloss and B got me some sparkly nail polish.  Then it was off to Mi Rancho for a birthday fiesta!

Cousin Time

Uncle Russ, Aunt Sissy, and Audrey came down for a visit.  The girls have been dying to see their baby cousin again and Emerson was super excited to have Aunt Sissy watch her play soccer!

Double Lunch

After being gone to New Orleans for a meeting all week, I decided to have lunch with the girls.  This was my first time with 2 lunch shifts at Snyder!!  It is always so much fun seeing them with their friends!

Pure Joy

One of the best things in the world is just watching your kids run and play and laugh like crazy.  Both girls have been begging to go to the beach.  Shawn and I surprised them with a fun weekend.  We started the weekend on Friday with a trip to the Astros game.  We didn't stay long because after all our games this season, they seem to be over it.  Also, Orbit wasn't even there which is their favorite part!  We spent the night in downtown and when we woke up on Saturday, headed to Galveston.  We were so worried when we got there because it looked like it was going to rain all day.  We decided to just embrace it and let them play on the beach in the rain!  It let up and we changed and headed out to the pool for the rest of the day.  We had the best time!

B finally got brave enough to do the slide...you can't hardly see her.  She was going so fast she is plastered to the side of the slide!  Em is ahead of her, already in the pool.
